only a week left before my show.
it's called The Trouble With Being Young
this is the first show title i've had where people respond exactly the same
they all stop to ask "What is the trouble with being young?"
it's nice
dialogue is welcome
even if it only leads to "I'll tell you what the trouble with being old is!"
i'm trying to stay optimistic about returning to college to complete my art degree.
my first semester back ends in a month
i dropped out seven or eight years ago with only a year of school left
since then my life has been very busy, which might be the cause of my outlook on art school
unfortunately i feel surrounded by students that couldn't care less
and burnt out professors
that have been teaching too long
at a program that is beaten, bruised, and terribly outdated
a university art program striving for pure mediocrity
i guess going back to school is slightly redundant at this point, but it's a family thing
my father has this epic tale of his high school graduation.
it is one small day in one small town
but somehow everything in the world happened that day
it needs to be his next novel and possibly my next film
